ニュージーランドでは２月が新年度のスタートです。日本でいう６年生は１２月に卒業し、その後休暇に入ります。現地ガイドのヒデコさんによれば、やっと夏らしい気温(２０度）になり快晴が続いているようです。先月末には２３度になる日もあったようです。セントラルオタゴ（Alexandra）では気温が２９度あった日もあるようです。夜と早朝が一桁台で気温差が大きいとのこと。今年の日本も朝晩と日中、毎日の気温の変動が大きいですが、ニュージーランドもと聞くと温暖化の影響かなとも考えてしまいます。新学期が始まる前には、Not long to go now.
